Booking Procedure

crowd3At Debs Booking we have done our best to create a web site that anticipates and satisfies our customers’ needs.  With that goal in mind, below is the booking procedure for booking one of our artist. If you have additional questions, contact us at 618-520-9608 or email deb.

On the first call with you or your committee, I would like to discuss who the guests or clients will be at your event, the ratio of men to women, their ages, where they are from, how many, where the event is being held, and what your vision is for a successful show, party, reception, etc.  Next, I will provide you with a list of artists and ideas based on that initial conversation. This list will help you narrow down and clarify who might be available and what they would probably cost. This all can be done relatively quickly, within 24-48 hours. Although it is important for you to choose your top three or so selections carefully, it is equally important that you or your group be able to act as quickly as possible to this list as all it takes for an artist to become unavailable is an offer from another interested party.

crowd03After establishing in your group or organization who the actual buyer would be and who would be signing the artists contract, I will fax you a form that we would use to make an offer to the act. Once the offer is in the acts' hands, it is their decision whether or not to accept your terms and confirm your date. It is important for you to understand that once you have made this signed offer in writing, and they accept it as is, you have bought an act. This normally can take ten days to two weeks, but can take longer depending on the artist. If the procedure begins to take longer than you are comfortable with, you can put in a reasonable deadline for an answer (48-72 hours is typical) and if they don't respond in that time, you can withdraw the offer and move on to another artist. Another way the procedure ends is if the artist counters your offer and you decide not to pay the new amount.

Once you and the artist have come to terms, a contract is issued and a deposit is due. I will review that contract in detail with you and help you make any changes that seem reasonable and appropriate. After the artists has reviewed and hopefully agreed to your changes (if any), you will receive an artist-signed contract back for your files.

To make a direct offer to the artist, click here and your offer will be sent for approval or a
counter-offer will be made.
